The watch was first introduced in1954in collaboration with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). The watch as part of the brand's contemporary lineup, solidifying its timeless & legendary status. This watch is an example ofwhenBreitling switched the watch's design in the 1960s; originally, before the watches were even issued a reference number, the Navitimer featured a fully black dial & a beaded bezel. The switchin the 60s saw a change to a Venus calibre 178 movement and began to expand the offering with metal choices, such as the gold plateyou can see on this beautiful example.
