A lovely example of theLongines 1st Edition Tre Tacche from circa 1937. The Tre-Trache (the name deriving from the three notches (Tacche in Italian) to the case back) was designed with two attributes in mind, a steel waterproof case (although not recommended to test this these days!) and a clear and easy to read dial.
Even though the case is only 30mm excluding the crown, the dial design makes it a joy to wear and easier to read than many 36mm watches. What makes this even more enjoyable to wear is the patina of the dial which is simply gorgeous, give me this over any modern "heritage" watch anytime!
Now confession time. We purchased this lovely watch direct from its owner and priced it on being the 35mm version only to find it was the 30mm version. We should have returned it or revised our offer but we so enchanted by its beauty that we honoured the price. As a result, all costs in, we're selling this for a loss but hope at least this way it will find its way to a new owner who appreciates it.
