This Omega Genve, reference 131.019, dating from 1967 achieves the perfect balance of classic design and simplicity. This particular Omega Genve features a timeless, minimalist design, a 34mm gold plated case and is powered by the well-regarded, manual wind calibre 601 movement, which has recently undergone a full service.
In 1953, Omega began printing the word "Genve" on the dials of their dressier 30mm watches. This was to commemorate their 30mm calibre, which broke records at the Geneva Observatory. The Omega Genve watches were still powered by the same high-quality movements as their other watches, however, they were sold at a lower price point than Omega's other products and aimed at a younger audience.
Technical & Condition:
The watch is presented in overall excellent vintage condition. The case remains in decent shape for its age. There are of course scratches to it but these are to be expected for a watch of its age. The dial is broadly clean with only a few minor marks near the center. The hands remain in fair shape. The movement is clean and serviced and finally the watch is fitted with a new leather strap.
