This Omega Genve, reference 161/25418, from 1968, strikes the ideal blend of classic appearance and functionality. This Omega Genve has a timeless, minimalist style, a 34mm 9k gold case, and is powered by the highly respected automatic calibre 565 movement, which was recently serviced.
The name "Genve" was first printed on the dials of Omega's dressier 30mm watches in 1953. This was done to honour their 30mm calibre, which set new records at the Geneva Observatory. The Omega Genve watches were still powered by the same high-quality movements as their other watches, but they were sold at a lower price range and aimed at a younger audience.
Technical & Condition:
Presented in overall good vintage condition. The case whilst polished remains in good shape with only relatively minor scratches. The dial is clean and largely free from marks whilst the glass (replaced in the past) remains in fair shape. Finally, the movement has been serviced and the watch fitted with a 3rd party leather strap.
