An attractive example of the Omega Seamaster 165.003. This Seamaster reference 165.003 hails from circa 1965 placing it in the middle of the production of the reference 165.003 from 1962 to 1969.
Typical of 1960's Seamaster's it features a timeless, minimal design and robust construction. The reference 165.003 sported a handsome angular 34.5mm case and was powered by the excellent 24 jewel calibre 552 automatic Omega movement.
We're a huge fan of 1960's Omega Seamasters, there are few other watches that perfectly combine understated elegance, robust construction and reliable performance in the same way a Seamaster can!
This particular example is in great overall condition for its age. The dial is clean and largely free from marks. The hands (which may have been replaced in the past) show signs of wear but are overall in good vintage shape. The case retains its attractive angular shape and the movement remains in excellent condition having just benefited from a service. It should be mentioned that the crown has been replaced in the past but functionally operates as it should be. Finally, we have fitted the watch with a new leather strap.
All in all a great example of the 1960's Omega Seamaster reference 165.003!
