How many watches can claim to be worn in an early James bond film ? I am sure someone will message the answer very quickly however what is little known is that this exact reference was worn in the 1989 film A licence to kill even though it may have been by accident as Omega had no official ties with the film franchise until a few years later. I know it's movie trivia but hey !

As far as this reference whats not to like ? an automatic chronograph in a 38.5 mm stainless steel case with date .

The silver dial is surrounded by the blue internal tachymetre bezel and is highlighted by the blue chrono hands and blue accents on the sub dial this really is a striking watch

The stainless case houses the caliber 1040 22 jewel movement which looks like new.and is regarded as one of Omegas most complex chronograph movements ,featuring;

  • date
  • 60 minute central minute recorder placed under the minute hand, moving continually
  • 12 hour recorder at 6 oclock, turning continually
  • sub-second hand at 9 oclock
  • 24 hour indicator at 9 oclock
  • automatic winder

Omega also modified the calibre 1040 to use in the 1973 Speedmaster 125, which made it the worlds first chronometer-certified chronograph

this lovely piece is fitted to the original Omega stainless bracelet this is a great vintage piece from c 1973 and represents great value.
