An attractive example of the elegant and wafer thin Piaget Altiplano reference 900319 from circa 1975.

The storybegins in 1957 whenValentin Piaget, grandson of the companys founder launchesthePiaget Altiplano at the Basel watch fair. It was powered by the now legendaryultra-flat 9P hand-wound movement which was not only incredibly thin at just 2mm but also offered high levels of reliability and performance.

The Piaget Altiplano went on to becomeone of themust have dress watches of the time and Piaget has continuedto innovate the range, most recently with theAltiplano Ultimate Concept -the thinnest hand-wound watch in the world, at only 2mm thick overall!

This particular example, a reference900319 is powered by the beautiful 9P1 18 jewel hand wound movement. The 32mm 18k gold case is in good condition, free from any major dints or deep scratches. The champagne coloured dial is in excellent condition for its age. There is a minor mark above 12 o'clock but this is barely noticeable when the watch is worn.
