Another beautiful example of the from circa 1970. This reference 1601 Datejust sports an attractive "no lume" pie pan dial and is fitted with a classic jubilee bracelet.
As we've previously delved into, there is rarely anything black and white when it comes to vintage Rolex. "No lume" dials with T SWISS T marked on the base of the dials is just one such example. Yet several untouched original examples have confirmed this is just another such example of thevariety(some might call fascination) with Rolex's of this era.
Controversy aside, many people like these no lume dials for the cleanness of their design. Its the ultimate paired back take on an already clean design.
The watch is in excellent condition with a clean dial and beautifully styled hour markers. The case is not overly polished and remains in good shape as does the fully serviced calibre 1570 movement.
All in all a lovely example of our favourite Rolex dress watch!
