A lovely example of the Rolex Datejust from circa 1970. This reference features an attractive "no lume" pie-pan dial.
As with almost everything vintage Rolex, there is no such thing as black and white! Case in point, normally when you see T SWISS T on the dial you would expect to find tritium lume on the dial and/or hands. However, turns out with some examples Rolex never applied the lume to the already printed dials leading to what some now call "no lume" T dials.
Condition wise this watch is excellent for its age. The dial is largely clean and free from damage with just a scattering of smaller marks. The hands show ageing but are in overall decent shape. The case retains decent sharpness for its age and the calibre 1570 has received a full service.
This is a watch that will make you smile every day with its perfect size and timeless design. Be quick though, as these never hang around long!
